GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION OF WORKS
General information
Abstracts must be submitted by the day established in the calendar (see important dates: NEW DATES).
Authors may indicate their preferred presentation format (oral or poster); however, the final decision is up to the Scientific Committee.
Each registration allows the presentation of up to two papers but with only one as an oral presentation. The number of authors per paper is not limited.
Presentations will be held in person, requiring the attendance of at least one registered author at the event venue. The final schedule, determined by the Organizing Committee, must be followed without the possibility of time changes.
Exceptionally, for authors who cannot travel but have paid the event registration fees, a few oral presentations may be accepted in the form of preregistered videos; as well as for poster presentations but in this case, as long as the authors provide their delivery read-to-hang at the event venue since the organizing committee has no printing facilities on site.
Abstract format
The abstract must be written in English, the official language of the Symposium. The length of the abstract is limited to 400 words.
Submit your abstract
Submission of an abstract is only possible online through the 8ISEBE platform (access the submission link at the bottom of the page).
Once logged in, you will have direct access to the abstract submission form.
A tutorial, with screenshots has been prepared to help authors in the abstract submission process. It that can be downloaded here.
Abstract Evaluation
Abstracts received by the date established in the calendar will be reviewed for technical merit and relevance. The Scientific Committee will consider the authors’ suggestions regarding the topic session and presentation preference (oral or poster) when assigning accepted abstracts to program slots. However, the final placement will be determined based on the overall design of the Symposium program.
Submissions will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee, which may approve, request revisions, or reject them based on the following criteria:
- Relevance of objectives, appropriateness of methodology, clarity of results, and validity of conclusions
- Quality of writing
- Works consisting of project descriptions, research proposals, or literature reviews will not be accepted.
Submitted abstracts may be original (preferred) or previously published.
By submitting a paper, the author agrees that, if accepted, it will be published in the conference proceedings (authors are required to check for copyright problems in the case of previously published works).
After the event, all papers selected for publication in the indicated journals’ special numbers will be subject to plagiarism checks and their own rules.
Notification of Acceptance/Placement
By the date established in the calendar, the Scientific Committee’s decision on each abstract will be emailed to the Corresponding Author. If the abstract is accepted, the notification will specify whether it has been assigned to an oral or poster session and will include details on preparing the presentation.
Certificates
Presentation certificates can be downloaded on the Even3 platform after the event.
