The Stable Isotope Laboratory (LABISE) performs C and O isotope analyses of carbonates and is equipped to analyze O isotopes in silicates (mineral concentrates) and oxides.
It provides low-cost analytical support to professors and graduate students at the Federal University of Pernambuco and other Brazilian universities. It also supports research projects in other South American countries and occasionally outside this continent under the same conditions.
It is worth noting that the X-ray Fluorescence (XRF) laboratory performs analyses of major and trace elements at low cost.
A mercury analyzer was recently acquired that provides quantities of this element, including ppb.
