Short Bio
Caroline Mota is associate professor in the department of management engineering at Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE), Deputy Director of the Brazilian Society of Operations Research (SOBRAPO), Director of the research group on Project Management and Development (PMD) and member of the of the research group CDSID (Center for Decision Systems and Information Development). She is a civil engineering and obtained her PhD in Management Engineering form UFPE in 2005, with a sandwich PhD term at the Southampton University, UK.
She was the director of the Post-Graduate Program of Management Engineering at UFPE for the term (2010-2013). Her research interests include Multiple Criteria Decision Making/Aid, public policy decisions, geographic information systems and project management. The National Counsel of Technological and Scientific Development (CNPq) has awarded her a grant of Productivity in Research. Her research has been published in about 30 scientific journals, serving as associate editor and reviewer of journals and conferences. She is a member of the societies MCDM/A and INFORMS.
